Fishermen’s Association Grant

APICDA allocates grant funds for the Fishermen Associations in our member communities to support fishing priorities at the local level to increase participation in the commercial fishing industry.  

Award amounts are determined by the APICDA Board of Directors and have been approximately $20,000 annually. The funds are used at the discretion of the associations; awards have been used for a variety of projects including funding salmon stream surveys and to start revolving loan funds.

The grant is initiated during the first quarter of each year by APICDA staff sending correspondence to the President of the local association with an outline of the requirements of the program and funding information.
