Are you dreaming of harvesting fish this summer? A Are you dreaming of harvesting fish this summer? APICDA can help make it more affordable with our Gear Reimbursement Grant (GRG). In fact, during the first pilot year of the GRG program, 21 eligible reimbursements were made totaling over $37,000. We were able to assist 11 CDQ residents with the purchase of subsistence supplies, and 10 commercial fishermen were reimbursed for a variety of gear.

APICDA is offering ten NEW college undergraduate s APICDA is offering ten NEW college undergraduate scholarship awards for the 2021-22 academic year! Eligibility requirements include being a full-time, permanent resident of an APICDA CDQ member community, or one of the following non-CDQ Aleutian region communities: Adak, Cold Bay, King Cove, Sand Point, and Unalaska. The APICDA board initiated the Haginaa Kidul - Helping to Grow scholarship in 2020 because of their strong belief in the social benefits that education provides and to broaden our educational offerings in recognition of the interconnectedness of communities within the region. We’ve sent out a packet that includes this year's application form with a receipt envelope to help you gather receipts, to streamline your application process. Please keep a lookout for the GRG mailer! Applications are accepted through December 1.

APICDA is pleased to announce the second year of t APICDA is pleased to announce the second year of the Gear Reimbursement Grant! Applications are accepted March 1- December 1. This grant aids residents in obtaining new and efficient gear to maximize their harvest efforts by providing financial assistance in the form of reimbursement of associated costs to APICDA residents who purchase gear for subsistence harvest and/or commercial fishing use.
