Exciting things are happening in Nikolski! After 1 Exciting things are happening in Nikolski! After 15 years without a school, classes have resumed in the community center. With the former school building now serving as the community’s grocery store and post office, the need for a new, dedicated space for gatherings and events quickly rose to the top of the community’s priorities. APICDA is pleased to support Nikolski’s efforts to build a new community center in the heart of the village. Construction is now underway, with local residents working alongside BKR Construction to bring the project to life. A few community members, together with some of the crew, paused for a quick photo to celebrate the progress!
Throwback Thursday: A sweet look back at a youthfu Throwback Thursday: A sweet look back at a youthful Jeremiah Balamoutoff, Safire Anderson, and Breeze Anderson in False Pass during a 4th of July celebration. A few years after this photo was taken, Jeremiah became an APICDA intern and gained hands-on experience as a City of False Pass Public Works Laborer, and Breeze is now a valued member of the APICDA team working in our Anchorage office. As for Safire, we’ve been delighted to connect through APICDA’s support of the APIA Culture Camp and look forward to seeing where our paths cross next!

Want to gain valuable work experience like Jeremiah and hundreds of other regional residents through an APICDA internship? Consider applying for a summer position by March 15. https://www.apicda.com/internships/
